Everything Jake #979 Jake: Well, that’s awkward. Noah: I’d say. Faith: Really? I mean… I never… Roger: You’re all he talked about for two and a half years-- Noah: What does it matter? Fine, so be it. It’s out in the open. True, it was like three years ago, but what does that matter now? It doesn’t matter. Matter it does-- Faith: Really? Jake: Let’s stop it right here, eh? Look, Noah, don’t worry about it. High school was a while back, we all had our little crushes then-- Roger: You didn’t have to hear him whine for two and a half years! Jake: -- but, like Noah said, three years have gone past. Kelly: You should have heard Jake whine about her before they got together…! Faith, Noah, Jake: What?!!? Kelly: Well, I mean before Mecca… Noah: Who was Mecca? Faith: Jake’s first girlfriend. Noah: I thought Nicole Bradshaw was Jake’s first girlfriend? Faith: First girlfriend in college… Roger: Who is Nicole Bradshaw? Jake: I never whined about Faith… Kelly: Sure ya did. Wait… maybe that was her…? Faith: It was probably me… but, Jake, you never even thought about us before that night? Jake: I did… I think… who can remember? Roger: Oh, look, here comes our food… (food is given out, Roger’s order gets mixed up with Faith’s but all is taken care of.) Roger: Looks good, no? silence Roger: Oh, sure, be mad at the Mexican, is that it? Noah: You’re not Mexican, Roger. Roger: Dude! Jake: You still like her, Noah? Noah: No! Faith: No? Noah: I mean yes… but as a friend. I’m sorry Roger even brought it up. Roger: I’m not. Kelly: Me neither. Noah: Well I am. No offense Faith? But I got over you. I’ve had a girlfriend here in San Diego. It was just a high school crush, and, quite honestly, who can blame me? Faith was the only girl ever to talk to me back on Long Island. Roger: Girlfriend in San Deigo? You mean Melissa? Didn’t you only go out for two weeks during freshman year? Noah: Um… Jake: Time out. Faith: Yeah, time out… Jake: Didn’t you have sex with a teacher, Noah? Noah: WHAT?!!?
